``As I like new challenges, oversea volunteers was another new challenge, thing to enjoy, target to adventure for me. I started this volunteer with excitement, and it remained the most meaningful and worthwhile work I have done until now. Laos volunteer also taught me appreciation and modesty. Not by only speaking and writing but to see and touch, the poor home facility, unclean water supply facilities, family’s low education, knowledge level I saw from the homestay naturally evoked pity. Complains from Korea was such high and mighty talk and things that I thought that was so natural like water and home was so thankful. Worn pants, donated clothes, not enough income and all decayed teeth of the family. There was so much things to worry and felt bad about, but their peaceful life and being together always sitting around huddled, on the other hand, envious. I was thankful to be with them though it was a short time. I wanted to truly express my gratitude to Laotians who brought peace to my chaotic mind``
``What we brought to Laos - more burden and bigger backpack than we thought - the mind that we want to influence the children What we came back with - kind eyes and acts of the homestay family members - children’s unconditional love and interest - worry about being a teacher from now on - precious people we lived together - memories hard to face again Once I had a dream. A dream to work in an oversea school. Since I have believed in the power of education that can change the world, I dreamed of teaching in a poor environment. By this oversea volunteer I could actualize the dream more elaborately. For me, all events in Laos school was meaningful experiences.``
``The time to visit needy children’s home was included in the service schedule, and I could n’t describe the feeling I had in words. Five family members were living in a inferior filthy house size of my room, and it was hard to use electricity, either. The children I met said that they could n’t afford to go to school. Schooling expenses were not that expensive. But Cambodia parents were struggling to make that expense, so they could n’t send their child to school. The only hope for there child was the hope class. Seeing them, I got to reflect my life in Korea considering small sum so easily. What I felt during this education volunteer, country should be developed and to give them a chance to live a better life, it is not material help but to make them hopeful through education and help them live a better life. Knowing Korea, developed over a short haul thanks to the great fervor for education, I noticed that poor countries including Cambodia needs education through this volunteer.``
``The sparkling eyes of the children that I saw during the education volunteer excited me and I was absolutely not tired looking at them who were willing to learn. Our farewell came rather too soon. With the materials from Korea, I made a kite together with the children and flied it with them. Seeing the kite vigorously floating by the strong wind, my heart felt like flying, too. The kite flied along the wind and to the sky. The stronger the headwind was, the higher and more powerful the kite soars upwards. I wish these Mongolian children can step on the head wind named poverty and poor education environment, study hard, and fly stretching out higher and higher. The loved ones, knows how to give love to others. It may be not enough but I have tried to give out the love I got from those children there, and I wish they give out that love to others who need help when they grow up.``
